AssiDomän (now Sveaskog) of Sweden sold its plants Dynäs in Sweden, Sepap in the Czech Republic and Barrier Coating in other European countries to the Austrian firm Frantschach AG. The purchase included 25 plants in 9 countries. The purchase price was tied into an earn-out structure, resulting in a price range from EUR 550 million to EUR 565 million. The deal strengthened significantly Frantschach’s position in the sack converting and barrier coating businesses, as well as creating the largest sack producer in Europe.
